Lovin' this weather!

I know it can't last but I'm absolutely loving this weather. I actually considered doing some yard work yesterday but considering was as far as I got LOL! Hope you're all enjoying the unseasonal temperatures and sunshine as much as I am. Here are 3 cards we'll make in class this Thursday. I was going with a green thing in honour of the upcoming St. Patrick's day and the spring weather, but then I got side-tracked (as I often do)by this yummy orange paper from Basic Gray's Nook and Pantry collection. It's called "Measuring Cups" and the flip side has quite a bit of green in with the bold floral pattern. Anyway in the midst of playing with my design I turned the paper over and decided I like the other side better so that's what I went with:) The St. Patty's Day card was made with an image from Riley and Company stamps. I love this little moose guy and couldn't resist him raising his glass of Guiness (at least that's what I think he's drinking...) The green background was created using Core'dinations paper which I ran through the Cuttlebug with the floral fantasy embossing folder. Then I sanded it a bit to get the two-tone effect. I didn't realize what a rotten job I did on the colouring till I saw him larger than life on the computer screen...it looks as if I'd been drinking the Guiness!!!!I may have to stamp a new image and do it again without the beer... (just kidding!) Last but not least is my spring tulip card. I love the Bazzil dotted swiss cardstock which I used for the purple panel, but I didn't have it in a green I liked , so I ran the narrow green panel through the CB in the Swiss dots folder and Voila! This one's quick and easy and would make a nice Easter card, but I left it without a sentiment so the ladies can choose to add one if they like. Lots of new goodies should be arriving in the store this week so I'd better get busy making room for everything. Have a great week and thanks for visiting.

  1. Hello Marie, It's so nice to pop in here and sew your newest card creations - they are all lovely! Haven't had much time and energy for crafting lately which is a shame, but at least Easter holidays will be here in two weeks (can't wait!!).
    Hugs, Birgit
